I absolutely love this quote. In fact, I actually might make a sign just like this when I finally get my Cameo out of the box. I have been in too many fabulous situations with a crabby person that tries to bring everyone down. So it's a challenge? So what? So we are we walking down a freeway off-ramp in France looking for a hotel that we have absolutely NO idea where it is - so what? We're in France. Doesn't that make it fabulous regardless? (I have been there, done that, if you couldn't tell.)

I dare you to live by this. Life can get hard. I know that, however, we can always find a positive in any situation...even if the only positive you can find is that you can't hear my stellar singing voice while I climb ahead of you.

Choice, Chance, Change

Every now and again I need a reminder like this. Change can be this simple.

We simply need to make the choice to take a chance or be willing to accept life as is.

And folks, I don't know how you look at it, but for me, as good as life may be, it can and should always be better.

Still needing a little more inspiration? This video of reporter Jennifer Livingston responding to the bullying email she received (this video went completely viral, so hopefully you already saw it) warmed my heart yesterday. In fact, I was nearly crying at my computer. Her message is one everyone should here.

Such simple words that will always ring true. 

In fact, I wish someone would have shown me this five years ago; I could have used this friendly reminder. Luckily, life has been pretty darn good lately and there hasn't been much to stumble over, but it's a good reminder to keep the past in the past and do nothing but enjoy the present.

Wednesday Wisdom | Do Good Anyway

Somewhere in the mess of my childhood bedroom that my blessed mother has somehow left untouched, there is a note card from my sister with a folded up piece up paper with these exact words.

I can't remember exactly when Cathy mailed me the note or what exact challenge I was facing that week, but I do remember how powerful the words were to me at that moment. And regardless of how many times I have unfolded that worn-out note, the feeling is the same.

And I'll admit, this past week has been a little challenging at times. Basically, I needed this reminder from Mother Teresa.  

Do good anyway. Be happy anyway. Succeed anyway. Be kind anyway. Forgive them anyway. 

Because in the end, it never was between you and them anyway.
